The 12 month Manufacturer’s parts warranty is warranted through Asheville Engine, Inc. and covers repair or replacement. It does not cover labor outside our shop.
The Parts and Labor warranties cover parts and labor for warranty repair at any shop of your choosing. It is provided by North American Auto Care, the most highly rated aftermarket warranty company in the U.S.
Complete engines come with a 2 year Nationwide Parts and Labor Warranty at no extra charge.

Covers the Core engine and the reusable shipping crate. Missing engine parts or parts that are unusable may be deducted from the core charge.

Driven DBR 15w40 Diesel Break-in Oil. 1 case/4 gallons

Specifically formulated to properly break-in a diesel engine. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

O-ringed cylinder heads

O-rings added to the cylinder heads allow for a better head-to-block combustion seal helping to avoid the problem of blown head gaskets. The 6.0 Powerstroke does not have enough head bolts which can cause head gasket failures. Replacing head gaskets can costs in excess of $6,000. The O-rings are inexpensive insurance against head gasket failures.

6.0 Powerstroke BUDGET BUILD. Stock replacement with new parts and ARP head studs. Remanufactured to the highest standards.

Description:  Engine block and cylinder heads in the 6.0 Powerstroke Budget Build have been magnafluxed and pressure tested, then all of the proper machining has been done.

The stock Crankshaft and camshaft have been checked for cracks, and checked for straightness. They are then, measured and polished. Cylinder heads have new valve guides, new valve seals and all new valve springs.

NEW engine parts include:

Main Bearings Cam Bearings, Rod Bearings, Rod bolts, Lifters, Push rods, Pistons with rings, Valve guides, Valve seals, Valve springs, ARP head studs.

There is really nothing “budget” about the reliability of this engine. Although many of our customers have reported 300,00 to 500,000 plus trouble-free miles with this engine, this 6.0 Powerstroke Budget Build is designed mostly for the person who plans to drive their truck for a while but doesn’t plan to keep it forever. It’s also good for somebody who plans to sell their truck and get the most for it without putting any more than they have to into the engine.
 Many customers who’ve purchased these engines 10 to 15 years ago have reported trouble free miles in excess of 300,000 to 400,000 plus miles.
If you plan to keep your truck for a long time, spend the few hundred extra and buy the Daily Driver.
*All engines are painted black. Custom colors are available for an additional $200.00.
