18mm head dowels were used from Model Year 2003-2006.5 and had casting #s 1843080C1 thru C4. Example: a 2006 Model Year truck that was built in 2005, came with 18mm head dowels from the factory.

20mm head dowels were used for Model Year 2006.5 & 2007 with the casting #1855613C1. The rocker box bolt size and location changed, along with the fuel injector holddowns and are not directly interchangeable with the components for the earlier 18mm dowel engines.

(Upgrade only) This O-ringed head upgrade is a special high performance valve job which allows up to 30% more airflow, depending upon turbo size and other add-ons.

Manton High Rev Valve Springs

High rev valve springs are stronger and close the valves quicker than stock springs which eliminates the possibility of the pistons hitting the valves in high rev applications when running a high rev tune. Primarily used in racing and pulling competitions.
Should be used with heavy duty 4130 Chromoly Pushrods. Replacing your used lifters is also recommended.

These are OEM re-manufactured Powerstroke Oringed cylinder heads, NOT the cheap $325.00 Chinese castings that other companies sell.

O-ringed cylinder heads apply more pressure directly to the head gasket sealant around each cylinder to help prevent future head gasket issues.

Remanufacturing process includes: 

  • Complete disassembly and cleaning of cylinder heads
  • Magnafluxed for cracks
  • Pressure tested
  • resurfaced flat with a finish compatable with OEM style multi-layer head gasket
  • O-ring grooves machined into deck
  • O-ring wire installed
  • Painted with high temp paint
  • Assembled with OEM valve springs with proper set spring pressure, spring height, stem height and valve recession.
