Every Duramax engine that we build has keyways cut into the camshaft and the crankshaft to prevent the gears from spinning. Every engine is also built with ARP main bolts, ARP rod bolts and ARP Head studs. Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax diesel engines
Asheville Engine has been known mostly for building and selling quality Ford Powerstroke engines nationwide for over a decade. Our machine shop, Top Speed Performance Machine, has also been supplying remanufactured Cummins and Duramax diesel engines to local shops. The machine shop has been in business over 40 years. The shop is a main supplier of remanufactured cylinder heads for local Toyota, Hyundai, CDJR, Mercedes and other local dealerships. With limited space, we were limited to the number of core engines and parts we could keep in stock. That’s why we only took the Powerstroke brand nationally, prior to 2024.
Dealerships help support us
Asheville Engine has been supplying Ford Powerstroke engines to several local dealerships in western North Carolina and in east Tennessee. Many dealerships across the U.S. that figured out that they could purchase remanufactured long blocks from us for half of what FOMOCO charges. This has enabled those dealerships to repair clean trade-ins that they get. Once repaired, they can sell them on their lots and make money, rather than take them to auction. The owner of the Ford dealership in Kingsport, TN is driving his own personal truck, powered by an Asheville Engine! It won’t be long until Chevy and GMC dealers start making money with our Duramax diesel engines.
