Ford Powerstroke engines

We started building Ford Powerstroke engines, exclusively in December of 2011. With nothing but a commitment to building the highest quality engine at a fair price, word of mouth advertising from customers on social media, caused us to grow to having over $2 Million in gross annual revenue in the first four years. Although many other engine builders have followed suit, Asheville Engine was the first to post all of our engine prices online. Other diesel engine suppliers wanted people to “Call for pricing”. They do that so they can talk you into whatever they want to sell you. Because we are up front about everything, we’ve become the “go to” supplier for remanufactured Powerstroke and Duramax engines.

Why a sales pitch?

Chevrolet/GM Duramax engines

Since before Asheville Engine even started doing business on a national level, our shop was building remanufactured Powerstroke and Duramax engines, as well as, Cummins, Perkins, Bobcat and other diesel engines. There still are many local customers who rely on our shop to build those as well. Many local dealerships rely on our expert machinists to remanufacture cylinder heads for Toyota, Volvo, Chrysler, and just about every other gas powered engine. From circle track racers to old school hotrodders, lots of people have relied on the machine shop for the past 40 years.

In 2023, a new, much larger shop was built and we had room the expand the nationwide diesel engine business. Already having the experience building Duramax engines for local shops, we already knew all of the problems with the Duramax platforms https://ashevilleengine.com/product/duramax-6-6l-diesel-long-block/ and already knew what to do to improve on them.

Asheville Engine builds every Duramax engine with stronger pistons. Every engine has keyways cut into the crank and cam to eliminate the problem of gears spinning. The rotating assembly is balanced and every single Duramax that we build has ARP rod bolts, ARP Main bolts, and ARP Head studs added for long term reliability.

Asheville Engine has enough parts inventory in stock to build over 200 remanufactured Powerstroke and Duramax engines.
